To add an email address you can send from, create a channel for it. Go to your Profile Page and click Add a new channel.
The form has these sections:
Channel name and color — used to recognize the channel inside Recurrr (e.g. "Personal Gmail" in red).
Email Settings — enter your email address and choose your provider (Gmail, Outlook, Fastmail, etc.).
Server Settings — SMTP server credentials; pre-filled automatically for standard providers.
Login Settings — your username (usually your email address) and password. App passwords are recommended for security.
Click Save Channel — the system tests your credentials and either shows an error or closes the popup on success.
Notes
- For providers not in the list, search for "your-provider SMTP settings" to find the right credentials.
- App passwords are recommended because they only grant email-sending access, not full account access.
- Recurrr uses SMTP instead of provider APIs because SMTP is a free open protocol, whereas APIs (e.g. the Gmail API) are costly and change frequently.
